Dress Yourself, Dress Your Table
A White Christmas Dinner Party
December 11, 2015
If you read our blog regularly, you know that I love to match myself and my guests to my table! I find the best way to achieve this is to specify the dress code on the invitation. That way guests have a clue what they are in for! For this White Christmas Dinner, I told my guests to wear ‘winter white’ or ‘silver sparkles’. The table was similarly dressed in a spidery, silver lace; silver ornaments as napkin rings; glittery, white sprayed branches; and clear glass bottles as candlesticks. The menu incorporated ingredients with a similar feel: a frothy egg white rum flip, white miso and partridge, and a snow peaked chocolate devil’s food cake. Even the game matched the theme - baked into each slice of cake was a number to determine the order for the White Elephant gift exchange we had that evening. This party is perfect for the Holidays - just enough sparkle and glam, but with a big dash of fun!
